The Garden was the happiest place in town last night, and it wasn't even close. The happiest person inside? Also no contest.
That would be Milan Lucic, the Bruins [team stats] forward who understood very well the multitiered significance of what the team accomplished by sweeping the Philadelphia Flyers with a 5-1 victory in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
And for Lucic personally, there was plenty of meaning, too, as he escaped a long scoring drought by netting a pair of crucial goals that sent the sellout crowd into utter bedlam.
