Two die in bizarre early morning crash in Grant Parish, LA - KSLA News 12 Shreveport, Louisiana |
GRANT PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Louisiana State Police in Grant Parish, Louisiana report a fatal early morning accident that claimed the lives of two Louisiana residents.
The accident reportedly happened around 6 a.m. on LA Highway 34 near Duffy Lane in Grant.
According to State Troopers, a 2009 Chevrolet pickup driven by 30-year-old Darren Treadway of Montgomery, Louisiana was traveling east when for an unknown reason he lost control and ran off the roadway, then the pickup reportedly collided with a guardrail, overturned, hit a tree and ended up submerged in a nearby creek
State Police say Treadway was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead along with his passenger, 25-year-old Amy Chelette of Montgomery as well. Troopers say Chelette was also not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
