In January 2009 Scott and Kylee Guy were building a home at 293 Aorangi Rd.
The house was fully enclosed but still incomplete and the couple were not living on the property.
Overnight on January 30 to 31 2009 the house was subjected to extensive vandalism causing about $13,800 damage.
This included broken windows and damage to the internal walls and plumbing.
In addition to this damage, the phrase "F.ken B..ch Slappr" was painted in large letters on an outside wall.
Another phrase was painted on a wall, this time using a different spelling of "F..kn".
For investigative reasons, the second phrase is not being disclosed in full.
There was a police investigation into the damage at the time and the vandalism has been subjected to a second investigation by the Scott Guy homicide team.
Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger said the damage was a crime against the property.
