or Asgard! Marvel's "Thor" Grows Franchise, Excitement

To be honest, they probably should have waited to make a "Thor" movie. Don't get me wrong, I love the character. I've got "Mighty Thor" comics going back to the original "Journey Into Mystery" issues where he debuted. The thing is, he's not a high profile character with a long history of marketing to push him into the realm of general public recognition the way Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Hulk and Punisher have been. Marvel has put those guys on film and television, t-shirts and lunch boxes for years. Thor was more often than not relegated to the confines of his four color, three staple, $2 comic (oh how we miss $2 comics).
